quadratic equation |
|
An equation that can be written in the form ax² + bx + c = 0, where a, b, and c are real numbers and a is nonzero. A quadratic equation written in this form is said to be in standard form. For example, 3x² − 4x + 7.5 = 0 is a quadratic equation.
quadratic expression |

|
Quadratic Formula |
The Quadratic Formula states that if ax² + bx + c = 0 and a ≠ 0, then . For example, if 5x² + 9x + 3 = 0, then .
